I also had croquembouche/croque-en-bouche on New Year's (but from Pain Perdu), and then went to see the film today. The film is about a kind of an amazingly difficult pastry chef competition in France. Highly recommended. Thanks for your posts and photos this past year – they have been a lot of fun (and also educational).
